The Glacier Turn is a professionally guided tour by an Alaskan will travel along the scenic Turnagain Arm into the small, picturesque town of Girdwood, Alaska. The first stop on our itinerary is the Alyeska Aerial Tram. We will climb more than 2000 feet to the top of the Tram Terminal to have lunch at the Glacier Express. A large round house observation center awaits us at the top which gives our guests a chance to see a panoramic view of the Turnagain Arm and the Chugach Mountain Range!
We will continue our tour to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where we will see a variety of Alaskan wildlife including the brown bear, black bear, bald eagles, moose, bison and much more! The moose just had 4 calves & they were introduced last week. This is just one of the highlights of our stop at the Center.
Our last stop along the Glacier Turn is the trip down Portage Road to Portage Lake where we will take a 1 hour glacier cruise! Here you will get a professionally guided tour by the park authorities and the captain of the MT Ptarmigan! If you watch closely you will be able to see large pieces of the glacier fall into the water.

Stay overnight at one of the most historic hotels in town. This hotel has great views of the Inlet and is walking distance to the 4th Avenue in downtown Anchorage.
