Trains, Pies, and Alaskan Skies Oh My!

Enjoy a scenic rail tour north to Talkeetna, Alaska.

This unique town is filled with things to offer the winter traveler! Enjoy a walk down mainstreet, take your picture at the Welcome to Talkeetna sign, and stop off into some of their many art shops. At 3pm take a pie making class with at the Talkeetna Roadhouse and learn to make some of the best pie in the state of AK! Call early to book their cozy private cabin in the back or stay in one of their rooms offered in the main house. Take in the stars and possibly the Northern Lights only a short walk from the roadhouse. You can rent snow shoes or walk through the meadows to the river for the best viewing!

The History Channel's Man vs Food host Adam Richman raves that the Talkeetna Roadhouse is the home to one of Alaska’s biggest breakfasts including "monstrous, plate-eclipsing sourdough hotcakes" which you can enjoy the following morning before your rail tour back into Anchorage.
