Glacier Dog Sledding
There's no better way to see Alaska than from the air, and there's no better Alaskan activity than dog sledding! So combine the two and you can do some real dog sledding, on real snow, in the middle of the summer! There are few ways to get multi-season activities crammed into one trip and this is your chance. Salmon Berry Tours will pick you up and take you the short drive south to Girdwood where the real adventure begins. Board a brand new, 4 seat helicopter for the flight through the mountain peaks in the Chugach Range to the glacier. Once on the glacier you'll get out of the helicopter, meet the professional dog musher, and take a real dog sled ride. You can even drive the team yourself!
Tour includes both the helicopter flights (20 minutes each, up and back), and about an hour + on the glacier with the dogs. See below for transportation from Anchorage!
