Winter Wildlife Tour
This is a great half-day tour out of Anchorage specifically designed for guaranteed, economical wildlife and scenery - this is a great value! Under $100!
Winter in Alaska is a special time and if you've seen these animals before, you've got to see them in the winter! A professional Salmon Berry tour guide will pick you up and drive you south along the Turnagain Arm, looking for sheep, mountain goats, moose, eagles, and more. The main attraction is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where we will visit with muskox, moose, elk, caribou, and all kinds of other Alaskan wild animals - these are our guaranteed animal friends! The muskox are right at home in the winter wonderland and even the bison make for a picturesque photo with the amazing backdrop of the Chugach Range and Turnagain Arm.
ADOPTION OPTION: For an additional $30, you can adopt an animal at the AWCC. By adopting an animal at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, you can enjoy animal parenthood without all the work! The center's professional staff will provide the special diet, environment and veterinary care that your animal requires. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to support your selected animal at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This parent adoption also includes an adoption certificate & the Quarterly AWCC Animal Ambassador Newsletter. Ask you tour guide for an adoption form or ask for more details when you make your tour reservation!
