Your tour begins in Anchorage as we make a scenic snowy drive south along the Turnagain Arm. Our comfortable touring vans have large windows for great views of this scenic highway. They also lots of headroom for your traveling comfort.
As we travel south you’ll learn about not only this area but anything else you want to know about Alaska - it’s one of the benefits of traveling in a small group that’s catered to your needs. We’ll stop at wild and scenic overlooks along the way, and look for animals, before driving straight through a mountain to the seaside town of Whittier. The Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel is over two miles long and carved straight through the rock, allowing us to pass from Portage Valley to Prince William Sound.
Next we'll take to the sea and navigate the shoreline through the glacier carved fjords of Prince William Sound. Our destination is Blackstone Bay, where Blackstone Glacier and Beloit Tidal Glacier calve into the sea. Watch for resident seals, eagles, and sea otters in this beautiful natural bay. Your captain will also do a beach landing, so you can step ashore in this untouched wilderness and learn about the surrounding rainforest and the Chugach National Forest. A deli lunch is included to enjoy during the boat tour, with hot beverages, water and snacks to keep you warm and energized for this adventure. Winter Glacier Cruise Duration: 3.5 hours
The M/V Voyager is a NEW 46ft, 30 passenger catamaran specifically designed for passenger service in Prince William Sound. With bow landing capabilities, beach walks are included in each departure if conditions are met. This fast, stable catamaran will accommodate 27 - 30 guests. There is a coffee station and marine restroom onboard. The heated cabin has large viewing windows and the bow offers an unobstructed viewing deck - bring your warm hat & light gloves onboard! For an intimate experience, consider a private departure.
NOTE: The captain requires a minimum of twelve people for this trip. However, we may already have the minimum requirement! Call us for availability! We will operate this tour typically on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Our recommendation is based on positive guest feedback. In particular, the experience of one Salmon Berry Tours guest is instructive:
Our guest had booked the vacation of a lifetime and the ultimate Alaska package. She had to cancel the trip a week before it began due to unfortunate circumstances.
She later told us that within ten minutes of phone time her claim was processed in full. She was very pleased with TravelSafe Insurance's immediate and empathetic response. Getting a refund for her trip was the last thing she wanted to think about, and TravelSafe Insurance took care of her needs and concerns immediately.
