Ask any Alaskan - there’s nothing like the thrill of driving your own snowmobile! That’s why so many of us own our own machines and spend winter weekends outdoors basking in the midday sun and cruising through a wilderness of adrenaline thrills.

Now it’s your turn to cruise through the wilderness on this 5-hour tour. Riders over 16 get to drive their own machine. Together we’ll have the opportunity to explore the true backcountry - areas inaccessible at other times of the year and miles from any road.

Drive through open fields, see beaver ponds, and frozen waterfalls. Under the right conditions your guide will take you out to an area of icebergs and caves, considered by many a “Blue Ice Paradise.”

Total ride time is 3.5 hours on the machines, traveling 15 miles.  We cannot guarantee getting to the glacier, you will drive the snowmachine to the glacier, the snowmachine will not take you to the glacier. So experience on ATVs, motorized vehicles, ect will provide you a comfortable experience.

This fully-guided tour includes transportation, winter gear, and complimentary Alaskan glacier water and snacks. This tour is group paced and requires that every snowmobile rider be in physical shape to safely operate their machine.

IMPORTANT! The Forest Service determines when this tour will operate - but Mother Nature is in charge of the operation!  If we do not receive enough snowfall to create a safe snowpack for the glacial valley then the Forest Service will not permit us to ride on the trails.  If your tour is booked between Jan 2 - March 31 and the Forest Service does NOT permit the access into Glacier Valley, you will still be going on a snowmachine tour! You will receive a refund of $74pp and enjoy the Early Season Snowmachine Tour. By signing up for the Glacier Valley Snowmachine Tour, you agree to go snow machining regardless of which tour we will be permitted to enjoy.

REQUIREMENTS: There is some degree of fitness required for these tours. We do not take pregnant women. There is a fair amount of upper body strength required. While you do not need to be an athlete, you do need to have a sense of coordination, some strength, and the ability to listen to and follow directions. The snowmobile does not take you to the glacier; you take a 500 pound machine to the glacier!  You need to have the perseverance to hang out there in the cold and snow for 3.5 hours. The Glacier Snowmachine Guide reserves the right to refuse anyone. Minimum Age for the Glacier Valley trip is 16 years old. Weight maximum is 350lbs per machine.

Multi-Day Itinerary Cancellation Policy: A 50% deposit is required to start the booking process. Remainder is due 60 days prior to travel. Cancellations must be made in writing (email, fax, or mail). Processing fee of $100 per guest applies for cancellations more than 60 days before travel, or 50% of total if received less than 60 days from travel. No refund applies if cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to travel.

Day Tour Cancellation Policy: For cancellations outside of 14 days before the first day of your tour, a 10% fee will be withheld. For cancellations inside of 14 days, no refund applies.

SNOWMOBILE CANCELLATION POLICY:  The Day Tour Cancellation Policy applies to snowmobile tours. In addition, you are committing to the trip, whether it is the Glacier Valley trip or the Early Season trip as per the snow conditions. We do not refund for a change in trip type, beyond the difference in price.

Our guest had booked the vacation of a lifetime and the ultimate Alaska package. She had to cancel the trip a week before it began due to unfortunate circumstances.

She later told us that within ten minutes of phone time her claim was processed in full. She was very pleased with TravelSafe Insurance's immediate and empathetic response. Getting a refund for her trip was the last thing she wanted to think about, and TravelSafe Insurance took care of her needs and concerns immediately.
