This full day tour from Anchorage includes a local guide, a tour of the Musk Ox Farm, a snowshoe stroll or fat tire bike in the Hatcher Pass area, a locally-sourced picnic lunch, and scenic photo-stops along the way!

Begin this unique Alaska adventure as we drive north from Anchorage on the Glenn Highway Scenic Byway, we will pass through farmland that was colonized during the New Deal, now famous for growing record breaking produce like the 1,469-pound pumpkin!

We will visit the Musk Ox Farm, known as one of the most unique animal husbandry projects in the world, for up-close views of Musk Ox! Walk the pasture trails aside these fascinating Ice Age creatures as you learn about their adaptations and place in the future of Alaska agriculture. You'll also have time to browse the Musk Ox Farm's gift shop for locally crafted gifts such as qiviut (Musk Ox wool, one of the most sought after fibers in the world)!

As we ascend the Talkeetna Mountains, we will enter the breathtaking alpine area known as Hatcher Pass. Our destination is a local recreation area for a snowshoe stroll and fat tire bike ride, with demonstrations by your local guide. If you prefer not to ride the snowy trails, we will have a campfire with s'mores and an indoor facility for your enjoyment!

A delicious meal is included, provided by a locally owned and operated eatery, known for their farm-to-table style menu!

On our drive back to Anchorage, enjoy complimentary snacks and water as well as the continued commentary by your local Alaskan Guide!

Our guest had booked the vacation of a lifetime and the ultimate Alaska package. She had to cancel the trip a week before it began due to unfortunate circumstances.

She later told us that within ten minutes of phone time her claim was processed in full. She was very pleased with TravelSafe Insurance's immediate and empathetic response. Getting a refund for her trip was the last thing she wanted to think about, and TravelSafe Insurance took care of her needs and concerns immediately.
