Denali! Participate in your pre-selected adventure and enjoy a local lunch (provided) with free time to explore the local gift shops and natural landscapes in Talkeetna. Pick-up and drop-off from Talkeetna is available upon request. Complimentary snacks and bottled glacier wellness water are available in the sprinter van. Choose your Alaska adventure in Talkeetna from the list of activities below:

- Jet Boat with Nature Walk

-Drive Your Own Dog Sled, Cart Style

- Denali Flightseeing with Glacier Landing

Choose your day of adventure in Talkeetna with one of the following activities...

1) Jet Boat with Nature Walk (May 15th - September 15th) - $349 per person

Your 2-hour jet tour will begin aboard an enclosed small group jet boat, as it whisks you into the heart of the wilderness in comfort. As you travel twenty miles of river wilderness, your Naturalist will talk about the rivers in the area, as well as information about Mt Denali. You will have opportunities to view nesting bald eagles and beavers who seem to work every hour that the long light of summer provides.

Upon arriving at the adventure site, we’ll take a leisurely ¼-mile nature walk to a Dena'ina Indian Encampment. The Dena’ina have lived in these lands since time immemorial. Then it’s off to an authentic trapper’s cabin with original furnishings. Learn how early trappers in this region lived in "Bush" Alaska at the turn of the century. Your experienced guide will display furs from the local area and demonstrate trapping methods. Naturalists will also acquaint you with the wildflowers and plants that grow in abundance along the river system and you’ll learn about the edible plants that were used by the Dena’ina for cooking and medicine. Bring along your camera and comfortable walking shoes for this very special Alaskan adventure.

2) Dryland Dog Sledding, Drive Your Own (April - September) - $299 per person

Embark on your training run at the homestead of Dallas Seavey, a four-time Iditarod first place Champion, top three finisher in Norway’s 2018 Finnmarksløpet, youngest Yukon Quest first place Champion, and former star of National Geographic Channel’s Ultimate Survival Alaska! Here, you will go from being a dog sled enthusiast to an experienced dryland musher!

Each two guests will share a wheeled dog chariot and dog team of Alaskan Huskies for approximately 40 minutes on your own mini expedition! After learning some basics, you will guide your four-legged team through the birch trees. Keep an eye out and listen for local wildlife! Once you reach an opening in the forest, a photo stop is made during your unforgettable ride to pose with the canine athletes. Take in the brisk air and alternate from standing to riding on the passenger seat. Complete your dog sled experience toward the kennel for a continued tour of the homestead. Alaskan Huskies are powerful athletes that are known for their affectionate, loyal, playful personalities -- and the puppies are no different! Try to keep up with the lively future Iditarod racing young huskies. Make sure to take photos with the future Iditarod Champions before they’re famous!

3) Denali Flightseeing with Glacier Landing (April - September) - $575 per person

Take to the skies and get a birds-eye view of the landscape of Denali National Park and Mt. Denali, formerly known as Mt. McKinley! This 90-minute flight seeing tour with glacier landing gives everyone a window seat to experience Mt. Denali: the tallest mountain on North America! A real Alaskan bush-plane pilot will tell you about the area as you soar through the Alaska Range. Follow the river systems of Talkeetna across the Susitna Valley into an incredible landscape of icefalls, glaciers, blue meltwater pools and snowy peaks, above the Don Sheldon amphitheater and through the Great Gorge of the Ruth Glacier. Conditions permitting, your pilot will land you on atop glacier for a photo opportunity!

Our guest had booked the vacation of a lifetime and the ultimate Alaska package. She had to cancel the trip a week before it began due to unfortunate circumstances.

She later told us that within ten minutes of phone time her claim was processed in full. She was very pleased with TravelSafe Insurance's immediate and empathetic response.
