Are you ready for wildlife? Then get ready for a smiling Salmon Berry Tours guide to pick you up and head south of Anchorage along scenic Turnagain Arm. Here where the Chugach Mountains meet Cook Inlet we’ll keep an eye out for Dall sheep, mountain goats, moose, eagles, and more. Our destination is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where we’ll experience bears, musk ox, moose, elk herd, a caribou herd, and more Alaskan wild animals!

These wild animals are right at home in their 200-acre habitat in Portage Glacier Valley. Even the once thought to be extinct wood bison make for a picturesque photo with the amazing backdrop of the Chugach Mountains and Turnagain Arm.

NOTE: Tour timing adjusts slightly in the winter months - Starting October 2016 tours will depart from downtown Anchorage at 12pm and return approximately 4pm.  This allows us to enjoy the most light on tour during our winter months!

Salmon Berry Tours recommends travel insurance provided by TravelSafe Insurance. Salmon Berry Tours is not affiliated with TravelSafe Insurance, nor do we offer any special discounts with them. Our recommendation is based on positive guest feedback. In particular, the experience of one Salmon Berry Tours guest is instructive:

Our guest had booked the vacation of a lifetime and the ultimate Alaska package. She had to cancel the trip a week before it began due to unfortunate circumstances.

She later told us that within ten minutes of phone time her claim was processed in full. She was very pleased with TravelSafe Insurance's immediate and empathetic response. Getting a refund for her trip was the last thing she wanted to think about, and TravelSafe Insurance took care of her needs and concerns immediately.
