It was 20 years ago that I arrived in Alaska just to stick my toes in the water and see if this state was really all everyone said it was. It is! I still get that inner joy of being in this magical place whenever I am outside. Adventure can be found here pretty darn quick.
I grew up traveling and living abroad. I am lucky to have called Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic my home besides the U.S., so try out your Spanish on me! During the school year I keep busy teaching at a Spanish immersion school here in Anchorage. If I’m not in the classroom I can be found cross country skiing, fat tire biking, backpacking, hiking, or pack rafting all over Alaska. I look forward to luring you into falling in love with the 49th state.
