Adventure Specialist – Join the team at the Office!
Salmon Berry Travel & Tours is actively hiring a new office team member. This is a full-time, year-round tourism professional position. Our team has created a creative work environment and understand that working in office for 32 hours and having 3 days off a week is important to both a work/life balance and an appreciation for Alaska. Salary starts at $42-$58,000/year based on Alaska tourism experience. This is not an entry level position.
- Must be an Alaska resident for two years or longer
- Preference given to applicants with a bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, sales, communications, or hospitality/tourism
- Must have high level of customer service, acute attention to detail, proficiency in modern technology and able manage multiple accounts/clients

Tour Guide Extraordinaire
Salmon Berry Travel & Tours is actively hiring new SalmonBerries to join our team of Tour Guide Extraordinaires. Candice and Mandy have cultivated an innovative work environment focused on partnership, sustainable small-group travel, and experiential learning.
- Must be an Alaska resident for two years or longer
- Preference given to those applicants with experience in teaching, hospitality and/or tourism
- Must love sharing Alaska and being with people all day
- Must have a high level of customer service, engage with guests, embrace the SBT brand, and make safety a #1 priority
- Positions available: Summer seasonal, part time and full-time year-round guides to lead small group tours from Anchorage
- Must be willing to work weekends
- Starting pay $20-23/hr+ plus gratuity. Pay negotiable for active CDL holders and experience guiding, and annual cost of living adjustments are automatic. Small group gratuity suggestions are $10 per guest per day (not included, but always appreciated) with tour group sizes 2-20 guests

Mountain Team at Independence Mine State Historical Park
Get paid to gold pan this summer! Summer seasonal full time or part time positions (tentatively set for 9am to 6pm or 10am to 7pm, 5 days per week) available from June 18 – September 30 – Join the Mountain Team at Independence Mine State Historical Park in Hatcher Pass. Training begins as soon as the snow melts up on the mountain! Guide historical walking tours of the mine, provide gold panning demos in the creek, work in Bunkhouse #2 giftshop, and share one of Alaska’s hidden gems with visitors and locals alike. Benefits: Paid training, travel discounts & each SalmonBerry selected for the mountain team will receive one weekend off to enjoy the Alaska State Fair. $16/hr plus gratuity. Must have reliable transportation to/from the Independence Mine State Historical Park.
