Harrison
Specialty Guide
Harrison is a seasoned Alaskan guide specializing in winter aurora adventures and photography. His love for Alaska began in 2014 with a transformative bicycle expedition across the state’s rugged landscapes, igniting a deep connection with the wilderness that eventually brought him back to make Alaska his permanent home. With over a decade of guiding experience, Harrison has spent countless winter nights under the dancing northern lights, helping guests capture the magic of the aurora borealis.
As a year-round Alaskan, Harrison brings intimate knowledge of the state’s seasons and landscapes. In winter, he leads multi-day aurora expeditions for Salmon Berry Tours, combining his passion for photography with his love of storytelling and Alaska’s rich history. During the summer months, he works as Program Manager for Alaska Wildland Adventures, overseeing guided trips across the Kenai Peninsula and throughout the state while mentoring and training the next generation of Alaska guides.
Originally from Wisconsin, Harrison’s adventurous path took him through film school in Los Angeles and a career in entertainment before Alaska called him north for good. His background in visual storytelling, combined with his keen eye for photography and genuine enthusiasm for sharing Alaska’s wonders, creates unforgettable experiences for travelers. Whether you’re chasing the northern lights or learning to capture the perfect aurora shot, Harrison’s expertise and passion for Alaska shine through in every journey.
