Sydney- Adventure Specialist in Alaska

Hi there! My name is Sydney!  I came to Alaska for a  seasonal position during the summer of 2021 and have found myself calling this magnificent place home ever since. I spent my first few years here exploring Girdwood, Alaska – the moody temperate rainforest and skiing community lit the flame for the adventures I continue on today. I now reside in the big city of Anchorage, but have a soft spot for visiting the small communities.

In the winters you can find me snowboarding, romping through the snow with my German Shepherd or exploring Alaska’s wild ice on ice skates. In the summer I love to fly fish for salmon, forage for berries (especially salmonberries!) road trip and explore every hiking trail I can find.

With so many great local eats, it’s rich cultural history and once in a life time experiences in your backyard, Alaska is somewhere I am honored to be. Watching my visiting friends and family explore Alaska over the years is the highlight of my time here. Their eyes always light up at the sight of the huge mountain peaks that also meet the sea. The way the mountains make you feel so small but your heart so big is unlike anything I’ve personally experienced. It is truly a pleasure to provide the ability to explore this great place with Salmonberry. I am thrilled to be able to share this love for the land by helping make your Alaska dreams come true!
